This is a video of a test packaging of foam rubber using the RoRo StretchPack® packaging machine requested by a system integrator. Foam rubber, also known as cellular rubber or expanded rubber, contains a high percentage of air, making it lightweight and flexible. So, it makes sense to use a RoRo StretchPack® packaging machine for packaging foam rubber, as the tubular stretch hood film will adapt to the shape of the foam rubber during the packaging process.
In the packaging process, the foam rubber is packed into a tubular stretch hood film, which is welded at both ends for 100% waterproof sealing. The packaging film fits closely to the roll, allowing for branding on the packaging film to appear nicely. The RoRo StretchPack® packaging machine can be integrated into an automated production line or used as a stand-alone solution. It accommodates different product sizes, whether packed randomly or in batches, and the packaging capacity aligns with the production line.
The final packaging will be tight, smooth, and waterproof. It is possible to make the packaging even tighter and keep the foam rubber even more compressed after packaging, beyond what you see in the video of the test packaging. Achieving this requires a RoRo StretchPack® packaging solution where the infeed device is designed to hold a compressed product and film with the required specifications.
