Core plug applicator

Core plug applicator

The core plug applicator automatically inserts plugs in core pipes in roll goods, like e.g., nonwoven rolls, textile rolls, and carpets. It is installed in connection with a RoRo StretchPack® packaging solution and improves your production capacity by removing manual core plugging from your production line.

A RoRo StretchPack® packaging solution with a core applicator also performs tight and smooth roll packaging. It is easy to handle the packed rolls without damaging the film. The smooth surface of the film ensures that the rolls don’t stick together when they are stacked on top of each other. This also makes it easy to take a roll from a stack using a forklift equipped with a carpet pole.

From an environmental point of view, this tight packaging also means that you reduce the excessive use of film. You improve the sustainability of your production line.

Roll with core plug

The applicator automatically adapts to varied sizes of roll diameter. Therefore, it fits both batch and random production. Even if the core pipe is not 100% centered in the roll, the applicator will adapt. The magazine has as standard a capacity of 100+ plugs.

Since the introduction of RoRo StretchPack®, the packaging solutions have become popular for rolls especially within the nonwovens industry. These rolls are sometimes being handled and transported by a forklift equipped with a carpet pole. The automated core plug applicator is developed to meet the requirement of clients with this need.
