Steel plate packaging

Pruszynski Sp. z o.o., a leading Polish manufacturer of steel roofing and facades, has installed a RoRo StretchPack® packaging line at their facility near Warsaw Poland. The line is for packaging pallets with stacks of heavy steel plates used for roofing.

The dimensions of the pallets, including the stacked plates, are a width of 1250 mm, a length of 3000 mm, and a height of 220 mm.

Previously, Pruszynski’s packaging process was manual, but the company sought to modernize and automate. To achieve this, they opted for the RoRo StretchPack® solution by Tentoma. This technology utilizes a tubular stretch film to deliver horizontal, 6-sided packaging that is 100% sealed in a single process.

The solution includes an infeed conveyor with a moveable tongue which carries the heavy pallet through the RoRo StretchPack® machine.
