Video: Packaging machine for poly fleece nonwoven rolls

The video showcases the test packaging of a poly fleece roll, but this packaging solution is equally suitable for all types of nonwoven rolls. The packaging machine can be integrated into an automated production line or function as a stand-alone solution. It efficiently handles various types of nonwoven rolls, whether packaged in random order or batches, with the packaging capacity aligned to meet the production line’s requirements.

Vacuum Unit for removing film snippets

Vacuum Unit
for removing film snippets

For visually appealing and uniform packaging, most clients choose to cut the film ends during the back sealing of the RoRo StretchPack® packaging.

When cutting the film ends, it’s essential to remove the cut film snippets to maintain a smooth automated packaging flow. For both cost-efficiency and sustainability, these snippets should be collected and sent for recycling.

Depending on your specific requirements, we provide two types of vacuum units that can be installed with your RoRo StretchPack® solution.

Hole for vacuum unit

The film snippet is suctioned away and transported to a container after being cut on the back sealing unit (BU).

Vacuum unit with integrated container

Vacuum unit with integrated container

The leftover film snippets are suctioned from the back sealing unit (BU) to a container integrated with the vacuum unit. Once the container is full, simply remove the bottom plate to empty the film snippets into a bag, a wheeled container, or similar. Packaging stops when the container is full and resumes automatically once emptied. An alert indicates when the container is
nearing its capacity.

Vacuum unit for external container

Vacuum unit for external container

This vacuum unit removes and blows the leftover film snippets into an external container of your choice. This option is suitable if you have specific requirements, such as the type and size of the container, and its placement location, or if you wish to use the same container across multiple production lines.

New packaging machine for Unisol insulation materials

UNISOL SA in Greece has now installed a state-of-the-art RoRo StretchPack® packaging machine for packaging insulation materials. This cutting-edge packaging solution, developed by Tentoma, ensures 6-sided sealed packaging.

The new packaging machine is now operational at UNISOL’s premises in Patras, Greece. Its primary purpose is to package expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation panels using a tubular stretch hood film.

Notably, the machine features an infeed belt conveyor equipped with a pusher, allowing for efficient packaging of insulation panels in various sizes. The UV-blocking stretch hood film is securely welded at both ends during the packaging process. This protects the panels against dust, moisture, and UV exposure until they are unpacked on the construction site.

UNISOL SA is a Greek producer of expanded polystyrene (EPS) with a continuous presence of 45 years in the Greek market. It was founded in 1974 by the Andriopoulos family. Today, it operates in a modern production facility in Rio, Patras, with an annual production capacity of 2,700 tons of EPS for insulation and packaging materials.

Celebrating 10 years of RoRo StretchPack® Innovation

We are thrilled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the innovative RoRo StretchPack® packaging technology.

A decade ago, Tentoma launched RoRo StretchPack®, a technique that revolutionized the way we approach 6-sided packaging – by enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and overall packaging performance.

RoRo StretchPack® is built upon the foundation of proven vertical stretch hood packaging, commonly used for upright pallet protection using stretch hood film. However, we took a groundbreaking step by refining and expanding this technology to enable horizontal packaging of products within a sealed stretch hood film for 6-sided protection.

We are proud to have transformed the packaging landscape, making 6-sided packaging more sustainable and cost-effective. As we reflect on a decade of RoRo StretchPack®, we look forward to many more years of pushing boundaries and providing cutting-edge solutions for our valued customers.

Join us in celebrating this milestone by watching the video that showcases the very first RoRo StretchPack® machine.

6-sided packaging of pallets with heavy steel plates

Pruszyński Sp. z o.o, a major Polish manufacturer of steel roofing and facades, has installed a RoRo StretchPack® packaging line at their facility near Warsaw in Poland. The new line is for packaging pallets with stacks of heavy steel plates for roofing. The pallets, including the stacked plates, are in dimensions of; width 1250 mm, length 3000 mm and height 220 mm. Earlier, the process was manual, but Pruszyński wanted to automate the packaging line and has chosen a RoRo StretchPack® solution.

In this project, Tentoma was the supplier of the RoRo StretchPack® machine, while the Polish machine builder Zaprom, engineered and supplied the infeed and outfeed conveyors. The infeed conveyor is with a moveable tongue which carries the pallet through the RoRo StretchPack® machine. Pruszyński now benefits from a fully automated horizontal packaging process performing a 6-sided sealed packaging protecting their products against external elements.

100% sealed packaging of waste bales

RoRo StretchPack® makes it possible to pack and seal waste bales entirely with a minimum of film.

Using a single-layer tubular stretch film, RoRo StretchPack® packs bales horizontally. During the process, the packaging is sealed at each end, providing 100% waterproof packaging. The packaging and sealing are done in one operation.

It prevents pieces of waste from dropping off the bales during storage and handling. Moreover, the risk of water penetrating the bales is removed, particularly beneficial for bales of paper waste.

RoRo StretchPack® is designed for a high packaging capacity and uptime. It fits into a highly efficient production line – inline or stand-alone.
