Getzner Textil AG Bludenz, Austria:
Two-layer film packaging of cardboard boxes
Getzner Textil AG, the Austrian manufacturer of high-quality textiles, has installed a RoRo StretchPack® packaging machine for secondary packaging of boxes containing textiles. The RoRo StretchPack® machine packs the cardboard boxes in two layers of sealed film packaging, ensuring complete waterproofness. The decision to opt for the RoRo StretchPack® solution from Tentoma A/S was primarily its capability to offer a fully automated solution for sealed packaging.
Double secondary packaging for harsh conditions
Getzner Textil AG produces precious textiles, which they export globally and sometimes under harsh conditions. Consequently, Getzner Textil AG has commissioned a bespoke RoRo StretchPack® machine, designed to package the boxes twice. This means that each box is encased in two tubular films, one inside the other, with each film sealed separately at the ends. This process results in an extraordinarily robust two-layer secondary packaging. It is specifically designed to protect textiles from the ingress of moisture and dirt, even during rough handling.
Enhanced packaging capacity
The RoRo StretchPack® packaging machine is part of a new, fully automated production line at Getzner Textil AG’s production facilities in Bludenz. Previously, boxes were manually packed in large bags. The family-owned Getzner Textil AG is upgrading and expanding its production facilities at the Bludenz site to lay the foundation for further moderate growth and technological advancement. Introducing new packaging machines marks a significant step forward, offering automation, increased capacity and enhanced packaging quality.
