RoRo StretchPack® option available for retrofit
During the RoRo StretchPack® packaging, the back sealing process forms a film snippet at the sealing. On a standard machine, this film snippet is cut by the integrated knife in the back sealing unit (BU), to ensure a clean-looking package.
An optional upgrade enables short film snippets. By default, the snippet length is half the product height, but using this option, will reduce the snippet length by up to 50%.
The option is ideal for tall products that generate longer film snippets and has the greatest impact on high-capacity lines. Benefits include reduced film consumption per pack, less handling of film-off-cuts, and improved sustainability of the packaging line.
Available as retrofit
The short film snippet option can be retrofitted to most RoRo StretchPack® machines. Retrofitting requires installation of additional pneumatic components,
electrical connections, and software updates, performed by the Tentoma Service team.
Why upgrade to short film snippets?
- Up to 50% reduction in film off-cuts
- Lower film cost per package
- More packages per film roll – increased capacity
- Less handling of film waste
