The gripper arms are the core of the RoRo StretchPack® technology, playing a vital role in controlling and handling the stretch film throughout the entire wrapping process. Tentoma now introduces a new gripper arm with an extended wheel at the tip of the arm to further improve the performance and reliability of RoRo StretchPack® packaging machines.
Ensuring stable production
The new gripper arm increases the contact surface between the rotating wheel and the film by 30%. This gives an even smoother film control and is an additional instrument to maintain the stable packaging flow. The improved film control is particularly valuable when wrapping specific product types that are right at the edge of the machine’s specification limits. On packaging lines with lighter products, the reduced force requirement can, in some cases, eliminate the need for pushers.
New standard – also available for retrofit
The new gripper arm with an extended wheel is now standard on all new RoRo StretchPack® machines (standard models). In addition, the new gripper arms can be retrofitted to existing RoRo StretchPack® installations, allowing existing customers to benefit from improved performance without replacing their equipment.
