The RoRo StretchPack® machine is designed for six‑sided packaging. However, it offers a high degree of flexibility by also supporting banding wrapping (banderole).
One machine – two wrapping methods
Using a tubular stretch hood film, the RoRo StretchPack® machine wraps products while welding the film ends, resulting in a six‑sided sealed packaging.
The welding process can, however, be disabled, allowing the film to remain open at both ends. The result in a four‑sided packaging, also known as banding wrapping (banderole packaging).
This means that one RoRo StretchPack® packaging machine can handle two different wrapping methods, giving manufacturers the freedom to choose the most suitable packaging solution for each product and application.
Banding wrapping (banderole)
Four-sided banding wrapping (banderole) is an efficient method for bundling and stabilising products. The banderole is applied around the product, securing it firmly and keeping the packaging process simple, fast and reliable.
This method is ideal for bundled products and multipacks, where full enclosure is not required. Banderole wrapping can also serve as a carrier for branding and product information, adding value beyond basic product containment.
Ideal for a varied product range
Using the RoRo StretchPack® packaging machine to combine two wrapping methods is ideal for production sites with a varied product range. This dual‑function approach enables quick switching between wrapping concepts, efficient handling of different product types on the same production line, and reduced investment compared to operating two separate wrapping machines.
