Active film stand for high-volume packaging
An active film stand provides automated, precise control of the film infeed to the RoRo StretchPack® film unit. It enhances packaging performance, delivers clear operational benefits, and is ideal for high-throughput packaging lines.
Continuously adjustment for optimal film infeed
A gyroscopic sensor in the film unit communicates continuously with the active film stand throughout the packaging process to ensure optimal film infeed. When more film is needed, the film stand motor automatically increases speed. When less film is required, it slows down or stops accordingly. This enables higher film intake speeds and ensures stable, high-speed packaging. It also eliminates the need for operators to manually monitor and adjust the film roll using brake straps to compensate for variations in roll diameter or film quality.
Larger film rolls maximize throughput
With an active film stand, the film roll diameter can be increased from ø800 mm to ø1000 mm. This increases the film length on the roll by approximately 50%. Depending on the film thickness, a roll can hold up to about 12 km of film. Fewer roll changes reduce downtime, increase uptime, and help maximize throughput.
The active film stand is available for retrofit on existing RoRo StretchPack® machines.

Air shaft simplifies film roll changes
The active film stand can optionally be equipped with an air shaft for securing the film roll. The film roll is quickly locked in place using compressed air, while release is as simple as pressing the air valve. An integrated measuring tape makes it easy to center the film roll.
